Adore country style and want to try one of the new decorating trends? We’ve compiled six of our favourite new looks to inspire your next country decorating scheme.

Go for a mix of high street and investment buys to create a new look and find a theme that will suit each room in the house.

Want to give a living room a new lease of life? Try the global village look. We love this mix of large-scale pattern and geometrics on soft furnishings alongside woven pieces, such as smart cube storage. This is a warm and inviting look that’s perfect for a cosy living room, or adding vibrancy to a study.

Create a light-filled space with an autumnal take on the Scandi look. Paint walls in off-white or a soft grey and add velvet, brushed cotton and linen accessories, with pieces such as colourful purple tableware for a dining room or charcoal grey cushions.

Another fresh look to try is casual graphics – there’s a beautiful selection of prints out there at the moment in cheerful patterns. Try using these zesty prints for colourful Roman blinds in the kitchen, or seat pads in the dining room.

The Patchwork and Folk Art trends are easy new looks to achieve. Think gingham fabrics for curtains, patchwork soft furnishings and patterned carpets that will create a lovely homespun feel. And for the folk-art look, choose pieces with folk-inspired patterns and appliquéd soft furnishings such as cushions and quilts. Mix and match patterns and don’t be afraid of a little colour clash!

Global Village
This tribal and ethnic trend features weaving and basketry and a mix of terracotta and deep chocolate shades. Ideal for living rooms and hallways, this look is completed with woven fabrics, large-scale patterns and soft geometrics.
