Spring is a great time to get the paint brushes out and give your home a fresh new look. Add personality to every room with Crown Paints' Breatheasy® matt and silk range.
Create a headboard that’s personal to you
1. Make chalk marks on the wall at the edges and top of the bed and mark the height of where you’d like the headboard to be. Once marked, move the bed out of the way.
2. Measure from the floor to the top of the proposed headboard, then make a mark at the halfway point, equidistant from the marks at the bed edges. Tie a pencil to a length of string, hold pencil at the top mark and the string at the centre mark and draw a circle on the wall. Fill the circle in with Chartreuse Mix Feature Wall paint and leave to dry.
3. To make the cross, use a spirit level to make tramline marks on the wall around 7cm apart, both vertically and horizontally. Stick masking tape along the marks, ensuring the intersection corners are neat.
4. Paint the cross using Scrumptious Feature Wall paint, going slightly over the masking tape then wait for the paint to dry before removing the tape.
