Downstairs the central hallway has doors leading off to the left and right with a bespoke oak staircase at the back which makes a wonderful statement up through the 3 floors in the centre of the house.

This all-wood interior is broken up with large neutral sofas and splashes of dark furnishings. Neutral paint keeps the room light and airy, and a Christmas tree is the ultimate festive furnishing.

The owners wanted to achieve something that felt timeless - neither traditional nor contemporary. They've achieved just that, as the dining room illustrates, with its modern but classic Christmas decorating scheme complete with solid oak furniture and statement chandelier.

The table, chairs and sideboard are all from House of Fraser.

The main bathroom is a vision of white, but far from minimal thanks to the use of warm wood furnishings and natural tiles. The limestone adds a wonderful texture to the space and gives it timeless style.
