Property type A three-storey new build Huf house
Space Fourteen rooms over three floors, including an open-plan living/dining room and kitchen, study and shower room on the ground floor; master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two further bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, and a studio on the lower ground floor.
The owners of this German-made Huf kit house erected the main house in just three and a half days. The house is eco-friendly, with argon gas-filled double glazing to keep heat in during winter and keep the house cool during summer.
The house is three storeys tall at the rear, compared with two storeys tall at the front – the basement is used as an art studio and display room, and also for entertaining. The garden area has been landscaped with hundreds of mature trees, including oaks, hawthorns and bamboo.
Using large-scale tiles on the walls as well as the floor of a bathroom like this creates a sense of continuity and spaciousness. These glossy tiles help bounce light around the room, so even dark marble or granite isn’t overpowering. Check out Mandarin Stone’s collection for similar tiles.
