Promotional feature

Packed with more nutrients than any supermarket equivalent, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies are a great way to help you get your five-a-day.

We all know we should be eating more fruit and vegetables but getting them into our diets isn’t always easy. It can be even harder if you have kids who are fussy eaters and choose chips over carrots every time. Fortunately, having a juicer at home can make all the difference.

Not only will you know exactly what’s gone into your juice – cutting out all the added sugar and preservatives that can be in shop-bought juice – you can experiment with different flavours by mixing and matching your favourite ingredients. Even better, you can hide some vegetables in the juice without tasting them, whether that’s a handful of spinach leaves, some raw broccoli, vitamin-packed beetroot or super-nutritious kale.

Don’t wait until the New Year to start a healthy eating habit. Once you get into juicing, there’ll be no stopping you from creating delicious drinks, from a zingy morning juice to start your day, a healthy veggie shot to give you a boost, or a creamy smoothie as a sweet treat. The Russell Hobbs 3-in-1 juicer is the perfect small appliance for a new juicing regime, and really earns its place on the worktop.

As well as juicing whole fruit thanks to a wide feed-chute that reduces your prep time, it functions as a mess-free citrus press for getting the most out of oranges, grapefruit and limes. It also doubles up as a personal blender, so you can blitz the ingredients for tasty fresh soups, sauces and sorbets. Need to juice and go? Its blending cup comes with a travel lid, so you can take your juice or smoothie with you. Easy extra nutrition? Nailed it.
