1. A welcome in the lobby
The word HELLO, splashed in big, bold, pink letters, is the first thing that greets visitors as they step in this cool loft home in downtown Manhattan. ‘It so simple, yet so welcoming,' say the owners. It was only meant to be temporary - a stop gap while owners were looking for a piece of high-impact art for the hallway - but everyone liked them so much they stayed.

2. Luxe touches in the living room
Life is frenetic in New York, so the owners wanted their home to feel peaceful. With 20 windows in the apartment, everywhere you look is blue sky, so they went with all-white walls, floors and ceilings to create the feeling of living in a cloud. Opulent additions include a bold chandelier and white squashy sofas.

3. Playing on scale in the dining room
With such a generous space the fill, the couple installed an oversized dining table and doubled up on chandeliers - a nice problem to have! Quirky accessories - bunnies rule here - prevent things getting sterile. On the contrary, it combines elegance with the owners' sense of fun.

4. A kitchen for entertaining
The kitchen is designed around a long Corian island which doubles up as a bar/ place for friends to hang out and chat while the owners cook up a storm. They have cleverly installed a heavy duty extractor fan into the light unit above the worktop.

5. Chill out bedroom
The bedroom is where the couple come to switch off and relax - no laptops or phones, and rarely any TV, they insist. The pops of blue from the Swan chair and rugs continue the 'cloud and sky' theme of the apartment.
