Versatile and multifunctional, our choice of stylish pouffes, footstools and ottomans will add a playful touch to your living spaces
1. Slumber pouffe
Fun, quirky and stylish, these Slumber pouffes by Aleksandra Gaca for Casalis are great for adults and kids alike. Made from a mix of merino wool, kid mohair and cotton blend, they are filled with synthetic balls meaning they feel velvety and soft but are also springy and comfortable. Slumber is available in a range of colours, but we think Light Blue and Dark Aqua (above) look lovely together. 2. Naxos pouffe
For a burst of brightness, choose the chic, unusually shaped Naxos pouffe. Made from Missoni Homes’s multicoloured triangle patch fabric, Naxos comes in two shapes/sizes, oval H40xdia60cm (above) and a slightly larger cylinder design, H45xdiam45cm. If you love the textures and colours of Naxos, you can also buy the fabric by the metre – matching throw cushions would look great against a block-coloured sofa. 3. Homebody footstool
Sit back, relax and put your feet up with this simple, elegant footstool. Handmade by craftsmen in Long Eaton, Homebody has weathered oak legs and comes as a rectangle (above) or a square design. If you are thinking of updating your sofa and want a footstool to match, Loaf recommends teaming the Homebody with its Souffle sofa and both can be upholstered in complementary fabrics, including wool, washed cotton, brushed cotton, vintage linen, clever velvet, textured cotton and herringbone, plus velvet, cotton mix, beaten leather, pencil stripe and broad stripe. 4. Maya Eclipse footstool
For an understated yet classy piece, the Maya Eclipse footstool is an excellent choice. It has a hardwood frame with oxidised brass plinth and can be upholstered in any of Louise Bradley’s 300 fabrics. Choose a block colour to make the bronze band stand out or go for two different complementary shades like this blue-and-neutral velvet option (above). This elegant footstool would sit alongside a number of decorative styles, including period, contemporary and minimal. Maya Eclipse footstool, H45xdiam43cm, from Louise Bradley.
5. Pablo ottoman
Available in 15 size options and a range of colours, including jewel brights and moody hues, the Pablo ottoman has an opulent appeal. With deep buttoning on the top and sides, the Pablo sits on a wooden plinth and would be equally at home in both a modern or traditional setting. And if you don’t fancy any of The Sofa & Chair Company’s fabric options you can have it upholstered in any fabric of your choosing. For the ultimate in personalisation, the Box ottoman can be made in a custom size, with or without arms, and in a choice of fabric and detailing. This is also a great storage solution for your living room – fill it with blankets, kids’ toys, magazines and all those other bits and pieces that you need to hand but want discreetly hidden away!
