Livingetc has set its sights on this fab new collection of rugs
Inspired by both nature – think delicate blossoms and the delights of the deep – and modern and classical architecture, each of high-end rug designer Amy Kent‘s creations possesses a unique simplicity. Made in Varanasi, India, an area renown for its carpet-making expertise, each rug is individually hand-knotted using Nepalese weaving techniques and then hand-dyed. And while their luxuriousness makes them a real treat to walk on, the wool/silk-mix rugs are perfect for those of us wanting to inject a subtle shot of chic into our homes while keeping out the chill.
Of all the gorgeous new designs, we’re particularly loving Stingray, which makes you feel like you’re gazing straight into the ocean; the captivating but slightly spooky Frozen Web, perfect for Halloween;
and the poetic Birds, all of which retail at £370.13 per sq m each including VAT.
Amy’s rugs can be made to any size and she’s happy to accept bespoke commissions. Both sumptuous and durable, you’ll want to whip off your cashmere socks and watch your pedicured tootsies sink into the plush pile. Race you to it!
