When it comes to a good night’s kip, you can’t get too much of a good thing!
So are you getting enough sleep, or is it a case of Princess and the Pea at night as you wriggle around trying to figure out if it’s a sagging mattress or unruly springs that are giving you restless nights.
To celebrate National Bed Month (what do you mean you didn’t know!), Jan Ryde, owner of Swedish bed company Hastens, has come up with his top tips for a sound snooze.
First up, make sure that your bed is wide enough – and with the correct firmness – so that both you and your partner can sleep comfortably.
Try to unwind before bedtime and keep the space relaxed to avoid any kind of stress – so that means it’s a good idea to turn off mobiles and the TV, too.
Take the time to exercise three times a week – as the exertion leads to a deeper, relaxed sleep that helps you to wake up fresh and relaxed.
And if you can’t sleep, it’s best to get up and do something relaxing, and only go back to bed when you feel really tired. Sounds good to us…
