Takes 20 min for one

Costs £6.74 for two

What you’ll need

Large flat pebbles, From £1.50 for 1kg (try Rainbow Florist Supplies – please note it is illegal to remove stones and pebbles from beaches, always buy from a proper source)

Blu-Tack, £1.99, HobbyCraft

Thick craft wire, £3.25 per roll, HobbyCraft

Small pliers

Lots of family photographs

Tip Make your holders as tall or short as you like – vary the heights for a relaxed look

1) Choose two pebbles that sit well one on top of the other –
ideally one should be fairly flat on both sides and the second, just
flat on one. Fuse together using a blob of Blu-Tack (the flat pebble is
the bottom one).

2) Cut a piece of wire 50cm long and bend one end to form two
heart shapes, making one smaller than the other. Stretch the rest of the
wire out to form the stem. Decide how long you want it to be then, at
this point, wrap the wire around the pebbles at least three times.

3) Take the remaining length of wire and twist back up the
stem of the photo holder to the heart and down again to make the holder
sturdy. Pop a photo between the two hearts.
