6 items from Made.com's new retro-inspired Memphis range. 6 of the best hits from the Eighties. Welcome to the house of fun...
Let’s face it, there were a lot of great things about the Eighties – Bon Jovi, ET and Pac-Man to name but a few – which is why it’s exciting to see some Eighties-inspired trends emerging amongst the homeware collections of Spring/Summer 2015. Made.com’s new Memphis range is full of these finds, so here are six of the best songs of the decade with a round-up of Made.com’s take on this season’s retro revival. Welcome to the house of fun! (Madness, 1982)
Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
(The Clash, 1982)
Well we’d vote for ‘stay’, if our lounge looked anything like this. The stone-coloured Priscilla sofa is the perfect basic on which to heap a boatload of Eighties colour, whilst bringing a futuristic touch thanks to its bold curves and stylish grooves (groovy!). Team it with the Poggio rug or contrasting bright prints for a Clash-worthy clash of colours.

Oh, if you insist! And where better to sit than upon this stylish Kolton number? It’s a laid-back beauty with an effortless, Scandi vibe, and comes in Whisper or Kestrel Grey. The perfect place to Relax (Frankie Goes To Hollywood, 1983).

Pretty In Pink
(Psychedelic Furs, 1981)
Or in fact, any colour of the rainbow will do! Available as a wall, floor or table lamp, it’s the ideal way to add a cheerful pop of retro colour.

Just Like Heaven
(The Cure, 1987)
A little slice of it anyway! This heavenly piece is the latest addition to Made.com’s selection of dressing tables, with crafty hidden compartments and striking teal legs. The Aldo range also includes a compact coffee table, with shape-shifting elements for a customisable feel.

Pump Up The Volume
Well, plump up the volume to be precise. These geometric cushions are loud, proud and full of energy, just like the Eighties themselves. So rad.
Cushions, £20 each, Casa Estudio range, Made.com
There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
(The Smiths, 1986)
Okay, that’s a lie, because these lights definitely turn off at the flick of a switch. That said, with cool curves and sheets of translucent colour, these handmade beauties look just as stylish off as they do on.
