Next launches new speedy build-your-own range

New Next To No Time range from retailer Next sees company’s first flat-pack furniture offering

Ikea made a name for themselves by producing affordable and stylish self-assembly furniture and there’s no denying that they’ve done an amazing job when it comes to dominating that market.

Now British retailer Next, known for both their fashion and homeware ranges are branching out into this flat-pack world.

So what are the benefits? And how will it differ to Ikea?

The ever-so-cleverly named Next To No Time range (love what you did there, great job Next) claims to be a super speedy version of the flat-pack we’ve come to know and love.

But don’t worry, if you’re not a dab hand with a screwdriver then there is a paid-for assembly service, at £20 a pop. And with prices starting at £135 for a side table, this new range is also pretty affordable.

With fewer parts, simpler instructions and pre-fixed fittings (think draw runners already attached etc), Next To No Time boasts a 15 minutes build time (with 2 people) for smaller items and 30 minutes for larger items of furniture. There are also videos that you can watch online if you’re struggling – genius!

There are several on-trend designs on offer, from sleek white bedroom furniture to a gorgeous Scandi-inspired living room range to a more traditional collection of items for those after a more classic look.
