Statement art you'll love: Four stunning works from King & McGaw
Always fancied a piece of statement art but didn't know where to begin? Take a look at these fab four for easy inspiration
Easyart has been a beloved go-to for statement artworks for many years, but recently bid farewell to its title to rediscover its roots as King & McGaw. Founded in the Eighties by Gyr King, this small printing business in Brighton has since become the UK’s leading art publisher, before merging with Easyart.com in 2011. This year however, it’s decided to bring the brands together under one name, and chosen King & McGaw to help reflect its British heritage and carry it forward into the future! With that in mind, take a look at our round-up of four of the best pieces on offer:
For a hint of glamour, try this special edition art print from the Andy Warhol range
Made using giclée, this glamorous pattern is printed on a heavy weight paper for a luxurious, textured effect. If you prefer something with a little less va-va-voom, then check out the corresponding selection of black Rorschach prints in sultry black hues.
For a softer approach to statement art, try the Indigo Rocks range by Jen Garrido. This abstract floral print is the perfect way to make a subtle impact, and comes in a range of soft palettes; from inky blue to warm peach tones, the classic designs are ideal for art newbies.
This impressive investment piece is made from French domestic tailoring patterns. Layers of life-sized templates have been artfully compiled to create an entire woman’s garment on just one sheet of paper. Available in bold blue, striking red, eye-popping orange or gentle green, it would be perfectly at home hanging in a sewing room.
These pretty inkjet prints comprise of a striking collage of faces, hands and points of interest, for a thought-provoking assembly in moody blue tones. Pop in a white frame for a simple but effective focal point.
