Take a look at Country Homes and Interiors' easy instructions for making simple artwork from wallpaper and fabric swatches
You will need
• Fabric and wallpaper remnants (we used fabrics Clarisse, Sage, F0424/04, £19 a metre, Clarke and Clarke; Kashmir in pink green on oyster linen, £185.86 a metre, Bennison; and wallpaper Etienne 60108, £49 a roll, Harlequin)
• Distressed painted picture frames (for similar, try Dassie)
Step 1) Remove the backing board of each picture frame aperture and use it as a template for your fabrics and wallpaper backgrounds.

Place the frame backing board on to the reverse of each of your fabric
or wallpaper pieces. Draw around and cut to size with scissors. If using
fabric, iron each piece afterwards for a neat finish.
Step 3) Place each fabric and wallpaper into the frame, right side uppermost, and replace the backing board.
Step 4) Finish by pushing decorative cards into the sides of each frame.
