Faux or artificial flowers are coming up roses again according online market place eBay
We’re not talking about sad plastic carnations set on budget restaurant tables or a dusty vase of roses fading on your gran’s shelf, faux flowers have recently turned over a new leaf and become on trend and beautiful!
In recent months they’ve de-headed their dowdy reputation thanks to an increase in their convincing ‘real-life’ quality and new attractive and inspiring varieties available to buy.
Artificial flowers are doing so well that online market place Ebay is boasting that nearly 95,000 artificial roses have sold in the last three months alone on its site; that’s nearly one every minute!
Interestingly, the top five faux flowers being sold on eBay are:
Roses are firmly rooted in top position
Hydrangeas are pushing up in second with 10 sold every hour
Daisies spread themselves out in third place with nearly 3,000 listing on the site
Lavender has established itself in fourth place
While the popular wedding flower Gypsophila is fifth selilng more than 120 items a day
And, it’s not just single stems adorning our resin filled vases. Beautiful bouquets are becoming ever popular because of their arrangements of incredibly realistic fake blossoms that last well beyond any real flowers would. Ebay state that 95,000 artificial bouquets have sold in the last three months.
It seems the popularity of faux flowers is also down to top florists collaborating with high street brands to offer us outstanding ranges of faux arrangments for our own homes.
