When I think of The White Company alot of things spring to mind: great bedding, gorgeous tableware and super soft towels. Outdoor lighting is not one of them, but The White Company's new solar garden lights have changed all that.

Spring is the perfect time to invest in garden lighting ideas to get your garden ready to enjoy on those warm summer evenings. However, if you want to spruce up your lighting without the fuss of charging batteries or plugging lights into an outdoor plug (if you even have one), solar outdoor lights are a game-changer.

I've already got some wired festoon lights in my garden that I can rely on year after year, but this summer I'm looking to add another layer of style to my cosy outdoor seating ideas that won't add ££s to my electricity bill each month, and these wicker solar lights are it.

The lantern design is made to sit on a garden table with a solar-powered candle in the centre. While the string lights, measuring 419cm, will add a little flair to a fence with a 8 little wicker shades.

If you are looking to make a bigger statement, the larger lantern includes a bulb and measures 24cm in height. It is illuminated with the help of a single solar panel and can be set on a timer. It can be styled on the floor or hung from shepherds crook hook like this pair on Amazon for £8.99.

These rattan and other natural material garden lights are breaking through as a big trend this summer. We've already seen Dunelm launch a selection of boho-style outdoor pendant lights, alongside Habitat, who have a similar set of string lights with little rattan shades for £13.

Claire Anstey, Lighting Buyer at Heal’s says this trend for natural materials in garden lighting is growing alongside a trend towards lighting with a more organic shape. 'Think earthy materials like rattan and wood, alongside mushroom-like silhouettes that feel almost ‘planted’ within a space, as though they’re gently growing from the ground,' she says.

'There’s also a growing interest for soft, flowing forms with slightly irregular, organic edges, designs that feel a little raw or unfinished, reflecting the imperfect, ever-changing character of the natural world.'

When it comes to styling this type of lighting, Claire says, 'to introduce this look into your garden, weave delicate fairy lights through the branches of trees or around sculptural shrubs. This helps diffuse the light softly through foliage, creating an inviting glow once the sun sets. Opt for warm-toned bulbs wherever possible; their golden hue creates a relaxed, cocooning ambience that’s ideal for lingering dinner parties and elegant outdoor soirées.'

As someone who hates the winter and lives for summer, I always want my home fragrances to transport me to warmer and happier places. For me, this is why Santa Fe is immediately winning me over.

Named after New Mexico’s capital city, The White Company sets the scene, stating the fragrance smells like: ‘The sun dips low over the sierra, and the air carries the warmth of sunbaked earth and wild grasses.’ Sounds divine, right?

Right. But in non-whimsical terms, the Santa Fe is a soft and woody scent with notes of suede, rosewood and cypress. The suede gives this woody fragrance a hint of leather, while the rosewood adds subtle floral notes. It’s a great choice if you’re not a fan of sweet florals or crisp citrus fragrances, which often dominate summer scents.

As usual, this fragrance is available in the form of a candle, diffuser, room spray, oil, hand and body wash, body lotion and even as a perfume.

Now I haven’t had a chance to smell this fragrance (and believe me, I will be), but I am a big fan of White Company Fragrances. In fact, when choosing a signature scent for my home last summer, I opted for The White Company’s Santorini Fragrance. And almost a year later, it’s still my go-to for making my home smell gorgeous.

With notes of sea salt, orange blossom and amber, Santorini smells exactly like being on holiday on a Greek island. It’s refreshing and light, without being too sweet.

However, I can’t wait to try out Santa Fe, and its reviews are only tempting me further.

‘Lovely scent, your best one yet! This scent is modern and tasteful and really lingers in the air when paired with the waterless diffuser,’ said one about the fragrance oil.

Which is why I can’t believe I’ve only just learned that The White Company sells a heated blanket. Where has this luxury been all my life? The Super Soft Faux Fur Heated Blanket is a White Company bestseller, and it’s easy to see why.

The blanket is made from recycled fibres for a super-soft faux fur feel and look, while the underside is made from faux suede, which again adds to the softness. It features a detachable heat control with six different temperatures, so you can choose a heat that feels most comfortable. It’s also machine washable, making upkeep easy, too.

The blanket warms up quickly, reaching your desired temperature in just five minutes. Plus, it has an automatic switch-off timer, so you can relax with peace of mind. It’s also pretty big - measuring W130cm x L160cm, making it large enough for two to snuggle up underneath. The blanket also arrives in a drawstring bag to make storage easier over the summer months.

In general, electric blankets are cheap to run, costing around 4p per hour to run on average (based on a 150W blanket). The White Company’s blanket is 85W, so it is even cheaper to run than average.

At £150, this blanket is a more pricey option. However, right now, with the code ‘WHITE20’, you can save £30, with the blanket currently costing £120. It is still an expensive blanket; however, it is cheap to run, very highly reviewed and looks incredibly luxurious, making it a worthy investment in my opinion. The blanket has hundreds of positive reviews from customers as well.

The gorgeous White Company Seagrass Tree Skirt (£50) has been a bestseller for the brand this Christmas, and it’s easy to see why. However, if it’s a little out of your price range, Habitat’s Woven Seagrass Christmas Tree Skirt is a stunning £16 alternative that looks just as good.

You’d be right in thinking that this year’s Christmas trends have catered to maximalist tastes. However, the minimaluxe aesthetic has been quietly gaining popularity, and it’s the style of choice for anyone looking to achieve an effortlessly chic Christmas this year.

Enter the seagrass tree skirt. Woven from natural materials in a warm, neutral colour scheme, it’s the perfect finishing touch for the best artificial Christmas tree. And I’ve found the two best options to suit any budget.

If you’re looking for ways to elevate your best artificial Christmas tree, then a tree skirt is an essential. Hiding the often unsightly base of the tree, it’s an easy way to make your decor look more stylish and put together.

While many tree skirts have focused on bold and bright hues this year, take M&S’s tinsel tree skirt for example, I’ve taken a particular liking to the seagrass offerings at The White Company and Habitat.

Both simple and subtle woven pieces. But by no means do they look boring. These styles of skirts are designed to frame the tree, allowing your luscious foliage, baubles, bows and tinsel to do all the talking.

As much as I’m a fan of nostalgic, maximalist Christmas decor, The White Company’s seagrass tree skirt is a beautiful example of timeless rustic decoration. Handwoven from natural seagrass, it’s designed to fit 6ft and 7.5ft trees. Due to its handcrafted nature, every piece is unique and may have variation in colour - which to me, makes the skirt feel even more special as you won’t find two that look exactly the same.

It’s also wonderfully reviewed, with customers praising how pretty it is and how well it frames their trees.

‘Absolutely gorgeous tree skirt and compliments our tree so well! It really polishes off our festive set up!’ said one.

‘I love this tree skirt, the perfect size for my 7ft tree. Great way to hide the metal stand on Christmas trees. Excellent quality, I would definitely recommend!’ said another.

However, at £50 it is quite pricey, which can be off-putting if you’re looking to make Christmas decor look fabulous on a budget. This is where Habitat comes into the equation. Originally £20, Habitat’s Woven Seagrass Christmas Tree Skirt is currently reduced to just £16, which is a bargain in my book.

Also crafted from seagrass (although not handmade), it should also fit 6ft and 7ft Christmas trees. But its biggest stand out is the skirt’s soft, scalloped edges, which give the rustic-looking skirt a little more character. While the scalloped trend may not be to everyone’s tastes, I’d argue that on this skirt, they give a playful nod to the festivities.

‘I bought this to cover up my metal tree base and it’s stunning! I love the way it scallops around the tree and just looks very chic and neat at the bottom now!’ said one review.

However, do note that some reviews mention the seagrass becoming unravelled, so take into account that the low price of the tree skirt may mean that it doesn’t quite reflect the quality of The White Company’s Skirt.

In my opinion, it doesn’t get more festive than an inclusion candle. Stuffed with dried oranges, cloves and cinnamon, these stunning pieces of decor look and smell divine, elevating any tablescape. However, my favourite high-end inclusion candles often come with a hefty price tag, which is why I’ve made it my mission to hunt down the most affordable on the market.

There’s no reality where an inclusion candle isn’t included as part of my Christmas decorating ideas, but let’s face it, money doesn’t grow on trees, and I can’t always afford to splash out on my favourite brands.

In an ideal world, I would splurge on the gorgeous White Company Winter Indulgence 6 Wick Botanical Candle (£95), but this year I’m looking for a cheaper alternative. And guess what, I found it at Lidl.

If money was no object, this is the inclusion candle I'd choose. It's beautifully crafted and smells wonderful.

This stunning candle is also available in a smaller (and more affordible) size.

My time at Ideal Home has allowed me to become well-versed inthe high-quality candle alternatives that frequent the middle aisles of both Lidl and Aldi. I have a few from both shops in regular rotation in my home, and I am always impressed by the scents on offer.

Launching in stores tomorrow (9 November), Lidl has two new inclusion candles for you to get your hands on - Festive Spice and Fir Tree.

Festive Spice appears to be the most similar to the White Company’s Winter Indulgence candle, although I would argue Fir Tree is a clear alternative to the White Company’s Fir Tree (£35 for a medium).

Weighing 4.5g and costing £24.99, these Lidl inclusion candles are excellent value for money. There is also a 1.7kg option available for just £9.99. The larger candles have three wicks, making them an excellent choice for your Christmas tablescape centrepiece.

There isn’t much information on how the Lidl inclusion candle actually smells, which is why I will be heading to my local Lidl on the 9th to smell one before I buy. However, I can see it is packed with dried oranges, cloves, and cinnamon, so I feel fairly confident it will have the rich, warming festive scent we know and love.

What I do know, however, is that the White Company Winter Indulgence Candle does smell absolutely divine. It’s infused with orange slices, birch pine, net petals and canella berries, for a spicy and warming festive scent. It also has a hard outer shell that doesn’t burn down, allowing the glow to come from the inside out. What I would say is that if you can afford to buy high-end candles, it’s always worth it.

If you don’t have a Lidl nearby, Aldi is also dropping their 2025 Specialbuys over the next few weeks, and nestled in is a selection of gorgeous inclusion candles, which our editor, Rebecca Knight, has managed to see in person - spoiler, she was impressed.

If you have neither an Aldi nor Lidl nearby, don’t worry, there are still savings to be made, as I have found a few more gorgeous and affordable inclusion candles to choose from.

It’s that time of the year again when the days get shorter, the weather grows colder, and Christmas shops start opening. Last week, The White Company soft-launched its Christmas shop, including the bestselling The White Company 7.5ft Symons Nordmann Fir Christmas Tree which sells out every year.

Yes, it might seem a little early to be worrying about Christmas. But when it comes to getting your hands on the best artificial Christmas trees, there’s no such thing as too early – because they sell out fast. So in order to avoid disappointment and last-minute scrambling, it’s best to get organised early and get your hands on one now while it’s still available.

7.5ft Symons Nordmann Fir Christmas Tree

This year, it seems more people are getting ready for the festive season early compared to previous years – Habitat’s bestselling tree is already selling in the hundreds ever since the brand opened its Christmas shop a couple of weeks ago, reporting a 200% increase in Christmas tree sales year on year.

I expect it will be no different with The White Company and its Christmas offering, from the trees to the super-popular Advent calendar, which dropped at the same time as the rest of the range.

Why should you invest in The White Company tree?

I tested this Christmas tree in my own home last year and was very impressed with how hyper-realistic it looked and how premium it felt. In all fairness, considering the tree’s rather high price point of £675, I would expect no less than that.

Every year, it’s a close call between The White Company Symons Nordmann Fir and John Lewis’ Cotswold Potted Pre-lit Christmas tree for the top spot in our best artificial Christmas tree buying guide. They are both of high quality and look incredibly realistic. The only two advantages that the John Lewis design has are the slightly lower price point of £580 and that it comes pre-lit.

But while the Symons Nordmann Fir tree comes unlit, there is now a pre-lit version of this design, available for £825. Not to mention, for many, an unlit tree is preferable as they can decorate the tree with whatever lights they like.

The White Company tree also comes with its own wicker tree skirt, which hides the metal stand that all artificial trees come equipped with – so you don’t have to buy a tree skirt separately.

The White Company has launched a fresh new scent in time for Spring, and I have a feeling that it will soon become one of the brand's iconic fragrances.

The Verde fragrance collection - meaning green in Spanish - is a fresh take on the typically zesty scents that emerge in spring. It’s slightly softer - ideal if you looking for a sophisticated scent to take you into the new season.

When it comes to the best scents, The White Company is somewhere we turn to time and time again. Whether you are looking for scents for calming spaces or something a little more invigorating, this new fragrance in either its diffuser or candle form is perfect for the latter.

Verde Large Candle

If you wan't to treat yourself this pay day, the Large Candle is perfect for it. With 70 hours of burn time, you can enjoy this gorgeous scent for ages.

With 28 hours burn time, you don't get quite the ammount as enjoyment as the Large Candle - but note, these candles are small and mighty, easily filling a room with beautiful scent.

The Verde Diffuser is a save item (despite being more expensive than the Signature Candle) is becuase of it's longevity. The White Company says it will last for three months, but from experience we can say these diffusers can last for up to a year.

According to The White Company, Verde is designed to be uplifting. With notes of shisho leaf and bergamot, the fragrance is nature-inspired - and very, very green.

Spring fragrances usually involve powdery florals, so Verde is a welcome break with it's soft but crisp green scent. It layers sparkling citrus notes of bergamot over a warm, sweet base of tonka bean and amber.

'I tested the new Verde reed diffuser from The White Company at the beginning of the year when putting together our best reed diffuser buying guide, just before it launched,’ says Sara Hesikova, Ideal Home’s Content Editor for Room Decor.

‘I think it's the perfect home scent to carry your home into spring. It's fresh but not necessarily in an overly citrusy, zesty way, instead, it takes a softer, more soothing approach by pairing bergamot with green notes of shiso leaf and slightly sweet and warming amber.

When Aldi first released their now cult classic inclusion candles last year, one of Ideal Home’s content editors Jullia Joson was able to get their hands on the XXL Inclusion Candle and was impressed by it's looks and festive Winter Spice scent of orange, cinnamon and clove.

This year Winter Spice has returned as well as a new fragrance, Scandinavian Forrest, which smells of eucalyptus, smoked woods and amber. Both candles promise up to 200 hours of rich scent and boast an inner core that burns down to create a lantern effect.

I haven’t had a chance to smell the new scent, but I am a fan of Aldi’s Hotel Collection and am typically impressed at how good Aldi’s candles smell.

Meanwhile, The White Company’s Winter Indulgence Botanical Candle is available in one iconic scent. Winter. Winter is one of those instantly recognisable scents - it’s warm, spicy and luxurious, with notes of cinnamon, clove and orange.

Its cult status makes it hard for Aldi to compete with, especially with other gorgeous scented inclusion candles available on the market. But what sets Aldi apart is its price. At £24.99, this is a bargain price for 200 hours of burn time.

But if the XXL Inclusion Candle is a little too large for you, Aldi is also offering Hotel Collection Rectangle Inclusion Candle (£15.99), which is just 1.1kg. Still as beautiful as the XXL centrepiece, these are better suited to smaller spaces like coffee tables or shelves.

The White Company’s Christmas wreaths are close to selling out, according to a spokesperson for The White Company and it’s easy to see why.

When it comes to Christmas decorating ideas, The White Company is something of a crown jewel - especially if you're looking to add a splash of luxury to your decor. The White Company has launched their Christmas shop for 2024, and we’re obsessed with its elegant yet low-key look. While it’s hard to say how early is too early when it comes to Christmas (I’m sure I can speak for everyone when I say I feel mildly irritated when Christmas songs start playing in August), but even the grouchiest of Scrooges know that sometimes exceptions have to be made...

With the launch of the brand's famed Advent calendar we knew that it was only a matter of time until the full White Company Christmas shop made its appearance, and now that it has we're starting to think about festivities, because if we know one thing about the best Christmas buys is that they sell out, and sell out quickly. Here's what grabbed my attention this year...

The White Company is going for a classy accessible Christmas this year. From deep green wreaths to delicate tableware and plenty of pine, the overall feeling is cosy and comforting without being in your face.

What stood out to me from the Christmas dinnerware was The White Company’s suggestion of opting for Cava on the big day. They suggest if you prefer champagne but have a prosecco budget, Cava is the affordable option. For me, this sums up the entire range - it’s quiet, affordable luxury.

The Skye Optic Balloon Glasses are perfect for gin or cocktails. Made from high-quality crystalline glass, they have a luxurious art deco feel, and with the glass’ generous size, they’re great for Christmas sized measures.

I also love the Seagrass Small Bowls. Hand braided - so each one is unique - they bring a rustic vibe to the table and are great for setting out table favours or snacks.

The decor

Another thing The White Company does well is its decor - especially its wreaths. Given that your wreath is typically one of the first things your guests always notice when arriving for festivities.

The ultimate Pinecone Wreath looks totally natural, incorporating deep green hues, pinecones, willows, frosted leaves and white berries. It’s a great example of how an artificial Christmas wreath can look expensive on a budget.

All of the decor has a rustic, alpine feel. There’s no bells or whistles, which again plays into its minimaluxe aesthetic.

When it comes to well-made, timeless decor, The White Company is always front of mind, however their pricing isn't always within everyone's budget. But right now, for a limited time, you can snap up one of their iconic mirrors for a whopping 60% off, which actually makes this White Company arch mirror cheaper than the Dunelm alternative.

It's not all too often that there's are The White Company deals to be across more than a few gift items, so when this went live we were keen to see what deals there were to be had. Amongst the impressive array of lighting, tableware and home accessories, the Chiltern Arch Mirror jumped out, first for it's elegant good looks and then the all-too-tempting discount... although we know from experience that the money off won't be around for long.

This mirror reminded us of another firm favourite – the iconic Arcus Arch Mirror from Dunelm. While we're used to this brand being the cheaper of the pair, the current sale means that the The White Company version is £45 cheaper than the Dunelm.

Usually priced at £300, the current sale price means that the Chiltern is reduced 60% down to £120.

While its sleek black metal frame may seem very modern, it's hard to see this piece going out of style any time soon. You can hang it on the wall or lean against a wall for flexibility.

This White Company arch mirror is a slightly smaller size to the smallest of the Dunelm variations (the most similar), being 40cm shorter and 34cm slimmer. However, this does mean that it has a more lean look, and easier to fit in narrower spaces.

Dunelm's Arcus has become somewhat viral recently, popping up in TikTok after TikTok, partly due to its price point for such a stylish piece.

The Dunelm version comes in three sizes - Medium (the closest in size to The White Company's), Large and the mammoth Extra Large. Plus, if black frames aren't your thing, it's also available in a gold framed option.

Reviews on the site itself are as complementary as on social media, with one customer writing 'Omg love this mirror, I’ve styled it leaning against the floor in my hallway everyone comments on it' – a pretty good endorsement as far as we're concerned!

Our most recent obsession is the high-street hero's new Tuscany Table Lamp, which we think looks just like one from The White Company – but £120 less.

The White Company is easily a favourite of ours when all things home fragrance are involved. Famed for its ever-popular Winter candle, the luxury homeware brand is launching a new candle in time for International Women's Day: the Love charity candle.

Although International Women's Day may not be for a while (the 8th of March), we always love an excuse to be the first in the know on the best scented candles on the market – even more so if it's for a good cause.

While The White Company's Winter candle is hands down one of our go-to home fragrance staples for the colder season, we've got high hopes that the brand's new Love charity candle will hold us afloat to help fragrance our living rooms outside of the festive months.

Boxing Day and January deals

The end of the festive season doesn't have to feel lacklustre - it's the next best time to score The White Company deals. Boxing Day and the January sales will bring a whole new load of discounts and it's often a great time to stock up on Christmas scents and gifts at a lower price. The White Company's Christmas scents return year after year, so snapping them up in the sales will mean you're guaranteed a treat for next year.

Whilst post-Christmas sales don't usually see site-wide discounts like we witnessed during November's 'White Weekend', the discounts that are available on selected items are usually much bigger.

During this time of year finding up to 50% off discounts on selected lines isn't uncommon, with our shopping experts noting savings of up to 60% by the end of January. Although, waiting this long to shop does mean you run the risk of products selling out before you 'add to basket'.

Black Friday

While The White Company doesn't officially participate in Black Friday, they tend to offer their own twist on the sales event instead, which they coin 'The White Weekend'. For 2024 this saw 20% off sitewite, making it the widest reaching discount period of the year.

If this goes ahead agin next year, we can expect the next White Weekend to fall Friday 28th November-Monday 1st December 2025.

The White Company Bank Holiday deals

Finally, you might also find The White Company deals during end of season events.

Sometimes these deals tie in with the spring and summer Bank Holidays, or sometimes they can be dependent on the weather, with the brand discounting seasonal lines to sell through before the change of season.

'Does The White Company do Black Friday?' It's the question we hear again and again in the lead up to one of the year's most eagerly anticipated sales events.

If it's not already on your radar, then Black Friday is the price-slashing extravaganza that happens each year on the last Friday of November. Although in recent years Black Friday sales have expanded to take up the entire weekend, and in some cases even the whole month of November!

When Black Friday does roll around, looking out for The White Company Black Friday deals is always the Ideal Home team's first port of call. From luxury bed linen to the best scented candles, there are plenty of The White Company favourites we're only too happy to discover are on discount.

However, shopping The White Company on Black Friday isn't quite as straightforward as it may seem.

Does The White Company do Black Friday?

The short answer? Yes and no. While The White Company don't do a dedicated 'Black Friday' sale, historically, the brand has coined its own term for discounting they run during this time period, dubbed 'The White Weekend.'

If the brand follows suit to last year, then we can only speculate that this year, we'll see a similar (or even the same) sale format again – and if you're here, we can only assume that you're prepping your own Black Friday hit list and looking to score some sweet savings during The White Company's Black Friday equivalent.

However, there's still no confirmation as to whether this will happen again this year, or when it will happen. But, we're keeping our fingers crossed.

We have yet to receive confirmation as to whether The White Company will be partaking in this sale period, however, Black Friday this year falls on the 24th of November.

So, if The White Company does follow suit with this sale period, then we think 'The White Weekend' will fall around that time. However, be mindful that The White Company hasn't given any confirmation if it will be running the sales event this year, so we can only speculate.

In the 2000s, Glades motion sensor air fresheners were the latest thing in best home fragrances. However, the scent options and appearance left something to be desired, so imagine our surprise when we saw that The White Company' had revived the plug-in home fragrance tool and given it a chic new look with The White Company motion sensor plug-in diffuser.

Forget garish white packaging and sickly sweet scents, The White Company Motion sensor plug-in is a discreet white circular shape that blends into a wall. And in terms of fragrance, it includes a small bottle inside that can be filled with The White Company's range of fragrance oils which can be switched in and out.

The White Company motion sensor plug-in is the latest extension of The White Company's electronic diffuser range. In my opinion, it fills a vital hole that many traditional electronic diffusers have.

First of all, it can be plugged into spots around the house that don't have a table, or in areas with high spill risks. Secondly, the motion sensor is a serious game-changer meaning you don't need to leave the diffuser constantly running to be met with a lovely waft of scent on entering a room.

The diffuser has two settings, the motion sensor which diffuses two bursts of scent into a room within two minutes of someone stepping into a room. The other setting acts more like a traditional diffuser releasing bursts of scent twice an hour, and then dropping down to once every two hours when the light in a room drops.

I was fortunate enough to test out the motion sensor diffuser over the weekend. The hardest part was finding a free plug socket in my home that wasn't blocked or hidden by a table. I had to do a bit of rearranging, but if you have a free plug socket in a hallway or living room that would be the ideal position as you need some space for the motion sensor to work properly.

You had to fill the bottle inside using the fragrance oils, which is a little fiddly, but once filled it should last for six weeks. However, it does mean you have a lot of flexibility with the scents you use with the diffuser, so you can switch to The White Compay Autumn scents in September or stick to your favourites. Once that is set up, you simply plug in and go.

The diffuser has a nice ambient light that comes on when the light in a room starts to drop for evening use, plus if you're like me it's a good reminder it's on at night! I filled mine with The White Company's Grapefruit and Mandarin scent and was delighted to be treated to a burst of fragrance every time I walked through the front door.

As a long-time user of electronic diffusers, I was always jealous that my guests would get the full benefit of walking into a scented hallway. But now without the need to turn it on and off, it feels like a real treat to be greeted home by my favourite scents.

Therefore, it's no surprise that The White Company's bestselling electronic diffuser continues to be a hit restock after restock as its quality is not one that falters.

However, a keen eye on the Ideal Home team spotted that George Home at Asda is selling a dupe for the diffuser for only £18, which is £52 less than The White Company's which currently hails in at £70 on their website.

Now, correct us if we're wrong, but the resemblance between the two is pretty uncanny. Both diffusers sport a beautiful, minimalistic curved silhouette with light imitation wood accents for the base that we think is to die for.

George Home's Ylang & White Rose Mist Diffuser being the more affordable option, however, doesn't mean it lacks in quality in any way. One reviewer even said they have a more expensive alternative but 'this is just as good,' while another said noted it 'does the job for a quarter of the price' of another spennier version.

We also think it's important to note that although this isn't a dedicated humidifier by any means, the electronic diffuser still promises to add moisture to the air and bring about an uplifting scent.

I have an electronic diffuser of my own that I've been using all the time in my bedroom since 2020 and it's since become an essential in my space. Not only does it make my room smell good, but it's also contributed to helping me sleep better.

However, we've found the perfect alternative that you can still actually buy.

When it comes to the best artificial Christmas trees, The White Company is always a strong contender, and their trees often sell out year after year, meaning you're unlikely to see them available come sale season. But, lucky for you, they're not the only brand you can rely on...

The White Company's 7.5ft Symons Nordmann Fir Christmas Tree is an incredibly realistic looking option, and even comes with a classic wicker skirt. Over the weekend the tree was briefly reduced from £595 to £476, so it's now sold out for the season.

The reviews commend it as 'the best artificial tree I've had to date! It looks so realistic and the branches give a full effect with no gaps if you fluff them properly. I was absolutely chuffed, it made my Christmas' and 'Bushy, thick foliage which diffuses the lights beautifully. Can't stop looking at it.'

With a good artificial tree like this, you get all the perks of the real thing, without the added responsibility of having to care for a real Christmas tree and instead you can focus on the fun of decorating the tree.

Like The White Company's this isn't a pre-lit option, so you will have to add your own LED lights to get the sparkling look so many of us love. If untangling fairy lights is a stress you'd rather not have to deal with, then we'd recommend this gorgeous Cotswold Pre-Lit Christmas Tree, £579, John Lewis. It comes in a contemporary black pot and also stands at 7ft tall.

What you're looking for is a good number of full-size products and things you'll use. The White Company delivers on that front, in the 25 pull-out drawers you'll find five full-size products including two signature candles and an Eau de Toilette alongside plenty of other festive treats.

The three inclusions I'm most excited about are the winter signature candle, fir tree diffuser and Seychelles bath and shower gel. The classic festive winter scent is bound to get you into the Christmas spirit. I also buy the fir tree mini reed diffuser every year to fake that real Christmas tree scent in my small flat, I can guarantee you're getting value for money with just those two buys alone.
