  • Livingetc checks out a tailor-made sofa with sartorial edge

Man-about-Livingetc (there’s a few of us here, you know) thought that some new threads were in order and, being style junkies as well as interior addicts, managed to sate both habits in one fell swoop.

Heading down to Savile Row, we were chuffed to discover that one of our favourite tailors, Norton & Sons, has collaborated with Brit furniture maker Parker & Farr to produce a chunky sofa perfect for lounging about during the forthcoming holiday season.

Even better, the Jefferson sofa (seen here with Norton & Son’s creative director Patrick Grant) has been upholstered using pure wool fabric from yet another UK icon, Yorkshire-based Hainsworth.

All in all, it couldn’t have been a more successful shopping trip and we’re looking forward to both the sofa arriving in time for Christmas and the new suits that we’ll be sporting for the first time at the office party.

Prices for all bespoke pieces are, of course, on application at both Parker & Farr and Norton & Sons.
