Back in black: Kim Kardashian unimpressed by mum Kris Jenner’s monochrome home

Following the birth of baby, err, North, new mum Kim Kardashian is desperate to move out of her mum's luxury LA pad as she can't stand Kris Jenner's choice of black toilet paper and bathroom scheme. Oo er!

Kim Kardashian reportedly ‘hates’ the interior of her mother Kris Jenner’s Calabasas home where she has been living with boyfriend Kanye West since giving birth to their baby, North, on 15 June.

Kim dislikes her mother’s black and white colour scheme so much that she’s decided to move out to a rented property as soon as possible, according to a recent episode of reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians.

‘I hate black and white. I can’t take a shower in a black shower,’ says Kim of the Jenner home, which is packed with glitzy black and white accessories and family portraits.

The home, built in a faux Mediterranean style, is kitted out with a predominately monochrome interior, with huge chandeliers and a striking chequered floor, which occupies most of the downstairs of the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home.

Kris Jenner, however, loves her monochrome home, which she describes as ‘gorgeous’. She’s suggested that her black shower is ‘chic’ and even attempts to win Kim over by saying that she feels ‘like a ninja’ in it.

In fact, Kris loves the black and white look so much that the set of her new talk show is based almost entirely on the interior of her Calabasas home, complete with black and white floors, a sweeping black staircase and dark wood furniture.

Not only do the Kardashian clan take issue with their mum’s taste in interior decor, they hate her choice of toilet paper. ‘The toilet paper’s black,’ says Kim incredulously in an episode of the hit show.

But Kris Jenner’s not the only celebrity who has a bizarre obsession with black toilet paper. Simon Cowell is said to insist that only luxury black toilet paper is placed in the multitude of bathrooms in his London and Los Angeles homes.

And even though Kris says she’s happy to trade the paper for classic white, she’s clearly got expensive tastes – a pack of six rolls will set you back around £9 from luxury brand Renova.
