Jennifer Oksien

Jennifer Oksien (Jen) has been the Future Homes appliances editor since February 2020. She has over 10 years experience as a product writer specialising in appliances, smart tech and mattresses for some of the UKs leading retailers and magazines. Jen also works on Real Homes, Homes&Gardens, Livingetc and Gardeningetc.

Outside the office, she likes to vacuum in her spare time as well as work time - it has become somewhat a hobby, although the house never seems to be clean enough. She's been in a constant stream of house renovating since she moved in 4 years ago with her family but it does give me some relief to say that they're onto the last home project which is 'decorating' the kitchen extension. This has had multiple uses over the years but now it'll be her daughter's messy playroom, a nice-looking messy playroom at that. When she's not vacuuming or renovating, she's with her little family on the North Devon coast with an icecream or chip shop not too far away.
