Is Katy Perry's Hollywood home the One That Got Away? The fairytale house is back on the market at a vastly reduced price as it emerges that the glamorous (but doomed) duo never even moved into their palatial pad
Their whirlwind romance seemed, at first, like a teenage dream, but after only one year of wedded bliss, Katy Perry and Russell Brand called time on their marriage before they even had a chance to move into the Hollywood mansion that Katy snapped up as their first marital home.
Katy bought the quirky property for $6.5m back in June 2011, however, so
hectic were the lives of the celebrity duo that by the time they both
made space in their schedules to move into the property they were already heading for splitzville and the house remained empty as the pair
separated and divorced. Phew! Life really does move at a different pace
in La La land.
Since then, the plush pad has

And if you need to bring your own staff with you that’s not a problem either – the property has a convenient two-storey guest house in the grounds to provide accommodation for your caretaker, chef or personal yoga instructor. Obviously!
Tucked behind the legendary Chateau Marmont hotel, the home dates back to 1925 and previously belonged to National Lampoon chief executive Daniel Laikin.
There is even a lagoon-style pool in the backyard, complete with a
waterfall and small bridge; perfect for whiling away a sunny afternoon
and chatting with friends about what you got up to Last Friday Night.

Before you worry too much about Katy’s finances, though, rest assured
that the California Gurl won’t be affected too much if she makes a loss on the sale
of this house, as she recently shelled out $11.5m for two adjacent
properties in the Hollywood Hills. That should help her forget about
