Simple Solutions: Pocket warmers

In this episode of Simple Solutions we show you how to make handy pocket warmers – perfect for winter.

Step 1: Measure two 8cm x 8cm squares of fabric and cut out

Step 2: Place wrong sides together before sewing together. Leave a small opening at the top.

Step 3: 3/4 fill with dry rice or wheat

Step 4: Sew up and trim the edges with pinking shears to avoid fraying. Make more with fabric scraps or old clothing.

Step 5: Place in the microwave for 20 seconds.

These cosy hand warmers have many uses. They are great for pre-warming your shoes! Or why not use them for de-frosting the car door…
