Anna Morley

Style Editor

As a Style Editor, Anna produces pages of shopping, decorating, room focuses and trend features that appear in both print and online. She began her Future journey back in 2014 overseeing the selection of houses that appeared in a wide variety of magazines and has also been the co-presenter on Real Homes YouTube TVChannel, The Colour Wheel. Anna has always been passionate about interiors after being inspired by the interiors and architecture she experienced whilst living in L.A.

While working in the photography industry, she honed her picture editing skills which led her to assisting on interior photo shoots. She’s worked for multiple magazines and independent companies on a freelance basis and is now an accomplished art director, interior stylist and writer. Bringing her enthusiasm for interior design onto a more personal level, Anna has also written a published monthly column about the (mis)adventures of undertaking her loft conversion.

Ideal Home Truths

Where’s your happy place?

I can be very happy on a yoga mat, or similarly laying down soaking in a therapeutic sound bath (or a gong bath to some). Alternative therapies are definitely my go to and I enjoy a good meditation and chill whenever I can. I live with two young boys plus one larger one, which perhaps explains why I like the peace and tranquillity of these more calming places so much!

What’s your home addiction?

A throw. I can’t get enough of them. I’ve been banned from buying any more but I sneakily bring more into the house whenever I can. You can’t beat the comfort or style factor of these warm, softening accessories. I also love a good basket. Whether it’s for throwing kids toys into, using for laundry, or even for the aforementioned throw collection, they’re a great addition to any room. They get extra points for having handles, meaning they can be hung up or carried around easily.

What is your next home project?

My home office will be my next project. It’s a light and airy room with lovely views over the garden and I want to create a wide, streamlined, wall hung desk I can dress with beautiful stationary, plus I’ve my eye on a new office chair in buttery caramel leather too. I will also be adding artwork and photos plus floating shelves that I can fill with decorative pieces, inspirational books and the odd trailing plant here and there.
