If you're reading this and feeling the heat, you're not alone. As I write this, it's a lot cooler than it was at the end of June, but 2026's Heatwave #2 (or is it #3?) is only around the corner.

So if you're tired of talking about the weather with literally everyone, let me take your mind off it for a blissful few minutes by feasting your eyes on this selection of fabulous and fun homeware buys.

The premise is simple. Products for every room in your home, with everything costing £20 or less. There are practical and pretty items, as well as quirky and sensible buys, and I won't feature anything that I wouldn't buy for myself.

Call it a happy side effect of putting together Britain's best-selling home magazine, but I get to spend my days trawling through the latest homeware collections from both high street brands and independents. This means that putting together a list of my best buys each month is not only a cinch, but I feel duty-bound to share the love.

Take these H&M Home napkins for instance - I first spotted them when I visited the store last month, and I've since snapped them up, along with the matching tablecloth. Breezy and beautiful, with a touch of the tropical, they're perfect for an alfresco lunch in the sun. Then there's this genius glass spray bottle from Lakeland - it's perfect for decanting cleaning sprays into for a more streamlined space. Alternatively, you could fill it with water and use it to spritz your houseplants - they'll thank you for it.

There's pretty much something for every room in the home, both indoors and out, or wherever you might be hiding from the heat for the next few weeks...

Don't forget to check back again in a month's time for a fresh new selection of bargain buys!
