Out-of-season sale shopping is my secret to having expensive taste on a small budget - the Oliver Bonas sale has some of the best discounts I've seen on colourful homeware
These colourful pieces will take a piece of summer through to the next season
There's no doubt about it - my taste definitely doesn't match my budget. While I hope that someday it does match up, I'm glad for what this mismatch has taught me: how to shop the sales. Being a bargain hunter is one of the most satisfying hobbies, and the Oliver Bonas sale has bargains in abundance.
The instantly recognisable colourful homeware from Oliver Bonas is guaranteed to add joy to any interior, but there's no denying that some of the larger pieces come with a high price tag. While there are plenty of trinkets to shop in the sale that would also make perfect gifts, it's the bigger ticket items that I've got my eye on.
While it might not be the season to have indoor lighting top of mind, shopping out of season is one of my favourite hacks for scoring a bargain. It's where you'll see some of the biggest discounts; the Josep Natural Rattan Woven Lamp Shade is a personal favourite of mine at just £27. It would look equally as chic in a bedroom as it would over a dining nook in a kitchen.
It can be hard to catapult yourself into the future seasons to think about what you might want in your home then, but bagging a bargain during the sales is always worth it. It's much easier to justify spending £35 on a table lamp than almost £90, so consider making a purchase that future you will thank you for.
Oliver Bonas always does colour best, and the blue, green and pink shades seen in this sale round-up are guaranteed to be trending in the next seasons ahead.
