Property type Victorian house
Space 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 day rooms, kitchen and playroom spread over 5 floors
The living room walls are painted a subtle shade, acting as a backdrop to the bright sofas and Marys art collection. On special occasions, the family use this space as a dining room, but
its more often where the children do their homework and Mary will sit
The shocking-pink front door is a clue you know the person living in the house behind isnt going to be happy with a palette of pale shades. Walk into the hallway and youll find a red Afghan rug thrown over chequerboard tiles and a lipstick-red stairway snaking up to the bedrooms at the top of the house.
Mary hated the chrome and marble kitchen put in by the developer, so replaced it with a hand-built teak design. The open shelving
makes access to kitchen kit a breeze, while the cupboards with doors
hide the more unsightly bits and bobs. Colourful collections add to the cosy feel.
Just Doors has teal Shaker kitchen doors.
For a relaxing bathroom scheme, a rich, luxurious purple lines the walls above the dado providing colour in keeping with the rest of the house, but still maintaining a calming feel.
