1. Don't be afraid to make bold decorating decisions

From dark sultry shades to bright scarlet hues, Laurence loves a bit of colour. Back in the days of Changing Rooms he'd always go for the daring, brave option (often not worrying about the reaction of the contestants!). So whether it's a purple feature wall or a bright green headboard, channel your inner Laurence next time you make a big decorating decision.

5. Never underestimate the importance of a good mirror

Laurence loves a good mirror, you only have to look at his interiors range with Very and Littlewoods to see (at the last count his collections featured 11 mirror designs). So if in doubt, go on, pep up your space with a stunning looking glass!
