About me

I’m Cassie Pryce, a freelance interiors journalist and stylist, and I’ve been working in the interiors editorial industry for the past five years. Before taking the plunge and going freelance, I worked as the Deputy Homes Editor on Style at Home magazine at TI Media and, previously, as the Style Editor on Wedding magazine.

My specialist subjects

I’m lucky enough to get to write about interior decorating trends and new-season shopping as the main part of my job (great for collecting inspiration for my own home, not so great for the bank balance!).Getting to preview collections before they hit the shops means I always have my finger on the pulse of the latest looks. I also style and write about real reader’s homes and love meeting the proud homeowners and getting to hear their stories behind the renovations.

My favourite places to shop

Thinking back, I’m not sure I’ve ever walked out of an H&M Home store empty handed! Their cushion covers are my weakness, plus the price tags are just too good to resist. I also can’t say no to a mooch around HomeSense – I love not knowing what you’re going to find in there – it’s like an interiors treasure trove!

My Ideal Home

I’ve recently moved into a four-bedroom new-build property in Surrey, having been cooped up in a little London flat for the past five years. I’ve always had a soft-spot for Scandi interiors, with a little bit of luxe styling thrown in, too (think sleek brass and marble accents).I never thought I’d buy a new-build, but it’s exciting to have a blank canvas to work with and I’m looking forward to the challenge of adding some much-needed personality.
