Take a tour around an open-plan warehouse conversion

Trevor Nelson started his DJ career in warehouses, so it's no wonder he feels right at home in this open-plan loft space as seen in Livingetc. Fore more house tours see housetohome.co.uk

Storage is used to define spaces in the open-plan basement, and the living room is separated from a dedicated DJ area with a wall of shelving for Trevor's vinyl. Natural flooring and a textural rug soften the stark, white edges.

The rug is from Chaplins, and the Eames Lounge chair is available at Vitra.

2/6 Kitchen

The kitchen is in a basement, so Trevor kept it as light as possible. Slick recessed lighting and glossy units contribute to the effect.

Preedy Glass can supply coloured glass splashbacks. Buy the Oval dining table and Tulip chairs by Eero Saarinen for Knoll at The Conran Shop.

3/6 Conservatory

The conservatory used to be part of the courtyard, but now has big glazed doors, which pull in the light.

Buy a Balzac sofa from Rume.

4/6 Stairwell

No double-height space is complete without a statement light and Trevor loved this chandelier within a shade. With its 95cm diameter, it barely squeezed through the door.

Buy Moooi's Light Shade at Chaplins. The console table is by Ambience Contracts.

5/6 Bedroom

Trevor's bedroom shows that even men can do soft, gentle colour to great effect.

The paint colour is Verdilith by Fired Earth. Buy the Miss K lamp by Philippe Starck for Flos at John Lewis.

6/6 Bathroom

Trevor's en suite bathroom injects a luxury mood into the warehouse setting, with matt tiles adding smart texture.

For similar tiles, try the Corton range at Surface Tiles. The Atlantic taps, Zone basin and LR3 towel rail are all from CP Hart.
