When Lara moved in, the kitchen units were only a few years old so she updated them with new doors and added solid-oak worktops.

Lara asked her dad to mix up the lovely warm mustard emulsion paint in the kitchen-diner. She got the idea of the wall display from a magazine and created it using picture frames.

Living room
The rocking chair in Lara's living room belonged to her husband's grandmother. She had it reupholstered in a fab striped fabric, which adds a hit of colour against the grey walls. Lara found the retro coffee table on Gumtree.

Lara loved this Victorian end-of-terrace house when she first saw it. Although it was habitable, the interior needed quite a lot of work to update it.
