Emma is offering a free mattress size upgrade – and it could make your bed feel much bigger
The limited-time deal applies to three of its most popular mattress sizes
If you’ve been waking up feeling like your bed is suddenly a little more cramped than you remember, it might not be your imagination. Even the best mattresses won't do too to help your sleep if you've chosen the wrong size, so now might be the time to reconsider your sleep space.
Working out how to choose the right mattress size for you (and your sleeping position!) luckily isn't a laborious process, and you may quickly realise that you've been underestimating the area you really need. Having enough room to move around at night can make a surprisingly big difference to how comfortable you feel in bed. This is especially true if you share your mattress with a partner, which is why choosing a bigger size is one of the first things experts recommend when couples are buying a mattress.
If you have been considering going up a mattress size, there’s currently a rather tempting offer on the Emma Performance 28 Mattress. From 11th to 14th September, Emma is offering a free size upgrade on three of its most popular sizes, meaning you can move up to a larger mattress while paying the price of the size below.
That means you can get a Double for the price of a Small Double, a King for the price of a Double, or a Super King for the price of a King. It’s the kind of offer that makes sense if you’re already considering upgrading, especially if you’ve been putting off the jump to a larger mattress because of the extra cost.
Could a bigger mattress help you sleep better?
While mattress comfort and support are obviously important when it comes to getting a good night's sleep, the amount of space you have can matter too. A cramped sleeping position can make it harder to settle comfortably, particularly for couples who naturally move around during the night.
Going up a size gives you more room to change position without disturbing your partner, while a larger mattress can also make the bed feel less restrictive overall. For couples who have the bedroom space for it, a King or Super King can therefore be a worthwhile upgrade.
Of course, bigger isn't automatically better for everyone – your available bedroom space, sleeping position and budget all come into play. There’s also something to be said for thinking beyond the mattress itself when you’re trying to improve your sleep. We often focus on firmness, materials and the best pillows, but having enough space to sleep comfortably is just as relevant.
If you regularly find yourself or your partner encroaching on the other side of the bed, upgrading the mattress size could offer a noticeable change. Even the best budget mattresses are something of a commitment, so choosing a larger size now can save you from wishing you had gone for the extra space later – provided your bedroom can accommodate it. The free size upgrade makes that decision slightly more compelling, as you're not paying the usual premium for the additional width.
To take advantage of the offer, you'll need to choose your preferred size of the Emma Performance 28 Mattress and enter code PL28UP at checkout.
The offer runs until 14th September, so there are only a few days to make use of the free upgrade.
