Look familiar to you? The house that starred in Groundhog Day is up for sale in Pennsylvania (sorry, we did that on purpose)
How familiar is this house to you? Do you have a strange feeling you've been here before? You could well be right, as this gothic mansion is the very house that starred in the movie Groundhog Day back in the 1990s.
For those unfamiliar with the movie, the central character, played by Bill Murray, wakes up each morning in this very guesthouse and is forced to live through the same day again and again.
In a Hollywood twist, the property was a private home at the time of filming and it wasn't until the movie was filmed that the current owners decided to buy it and turn it into a guesthouse.
******
The famous property is currently on the market via InnShopper.com with a surprisingly un-Hollywood price tag of $985,000 (that's just £600,000).
According to Rick Bellairs, the agent selling the property, the current owners completely renovated the Pennsylvania property, spending more than a year gutting it and turning it into a sparkling new guesthouse.
The house now has 'six bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, as well as spacious living areas. It has all the original hardwood floors with oak trim and leaded stained-glass windows.'

The owners also 'converted the attic space on the top floor into a self-contained living area, with its own kitchen and laundry facilities,' and, Bellairs adds, 'depending on what the new owners wanted to do with the house, the attic could make great accommodation for an au-pair or other full-time staff.'
So, if you're not afraid of a little deja vu, this could be just the property for you. Take a look at the full listing on InnShopper.com.
