Sophie Conran designs for Axminster Carpets

Sophie Conran has teamed up with Axminster Carpets to create a gorgeous range of British wool carpets, available exclusively at John Lewis from August 2012.

Sophie designed the collection with the aim to create designs that have personality while feeling comfortable and homely. She took inspiration from her own nostalgic family moments and describes the range as ‘a collection of good times and happy memories'.

With plenty of patterns to choose from, you will find stripes, country-style florals and tactile plains all with names that will take you back to childhood, including ‘Knickerbocker Glory', ‘Favourite Wellies' and ‘Crumpets'.

We love this sweet vintage-style floral called ‘Helping Hands', shown in 'Strawberry Picking'. It also comes in a 'Baking Cake' colourway. Priced from £80 per sq m, this design would bring a sweet touch to a modern or country-style interior.
