Step inside this elegant Georgian home
Take a room-by-room tour around beautiful Homes & Gardens readers' homes. This week we look inside a Georgian Lincolnshire home for stunning decorating inspiration. Be inspired by this festive country scheme.
This Georgian house in rural Lincolnshire used to be home to a doctor's surgery at the front - the doctor's 'In-Out' sign and dispenser's window are still attached - and a butcher's shop, with the slaughter house in the outbuildings.

Distressed white painted furniture is teamed with red gingham and stripy ticking fabric for a charming country feel. Rustic brick flooring adds to the traditional feel. The dresser in this morning room houses stacks of books and other household paraphernalia.

A cream painted dresser matches the dining furniture in this charming room, and red accents are introduced on the chair fabric and blind to add interest and warmth to the pale scheme.
5/9 Kitchen
Hand-built painted units are teamed with a rustic wooden worktop for a rustic feel, while vintage metal letters and a butlers sink give the room a distinctive French-country look.

Rich layers of linen, velvet, plain and floral fabrics give this bedroom an inviting feel.
The Almarie bedlinen is from Laura Ashley.
