Take a tour around a curved walnut kitchen
This well-rounded design pulls out all the stops. Beautiful Kitchens shows you around some of the most impressive real kitchens in the UK, and for even more decorating inspiration, visit housetohome.co.uk
With his trademark curved cabinetry, designer Neil Burgess from Niche Design has transformed this kitchen into a functional and flowing space. The different colours in the granite floor and worktops add further impact and reflect the mix of American Black walnut and rippled sycamore furniture.
1/9 Curved kitchen
2/9 Sink area
The sink by Kohler and OZ tap by Luisina sit underneath walls finished in Farrow & Balls James White.
3/9 Range cooker
The Britannia range cooker adds a professional air to the room. Above, the Elica Space extractor hood whisks away cooking odours and is one of the quietest models on the market.
4/9 Dishwasher
A two-drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher provides plenty of space for washing crockery and glassware and offers the flexibility of independently operated drawers.
5/9 Larder unit
To ensure that all dry goods can be stored together, Neil designed this stunning barrel-shaped walnut larder. A small run of worktop space to the left provides ample room for unpacking any groceries before they are put away.
6/9 Curved drawer
Curved drawers follow the arc of the worktop above and emphasise the levels of skill and craftsmanship that have gone into the kitchen. The granite and stainless-steel bar handles, which match for the Juparana Bordeaux granite, are available from Hettich UK.
7/9 Tambour unit
Slide-away roller doors conceal a smart tea-making station.

8/9 Fridge-freezer
The sizeable Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer is integrated below a double-decked wine rack backlit by blue LEDs.
9/9 Prep sink
A smart OZ mixer tap from Luisina arcs from the base and, like the Kohler sink, adds curves into the design. A circular groove carved in the worktop around the sinks perimeter ensures water doesnt spill onto the floor.
