The Our Place tableware set I get endless compliments on is finally on sale – after owning it for years without a chip, these are the plates I'm forever recommending

The perfect tableware set is as functional as it is pretty. And it's these two categories in which Our Place's simply delectable range of plates, bowls and dinnerware essentials excel. These sets not only nest together in the most pleasing and stackable way, but they're simply the best looking on the market, in my opinion. As Ideal Home's Kitchen Appliances Editor I often have a host of weird and wonderful items on test in my home but the most complimented of all is my dinnerware set from Our Place.
Here's why it's such a crowdpleaser at a dinner party and why I'm praying this isn't the end of the brand's excellent tableware offering.
I'm forever banging on about how much I love plate bowls (other names such as pasta bowls or dinner bowls are available) and these are the ultimate kind. Sloped edges, two-tone detailing and the ideal heft mean they are unrivalled.
This set is a total steal considering the quality of this tableware and it's available in Steam (a pearly white) and Spice (a luxurious pastel pink) too. It's my top pick!
These bowls are now half their usual price. After using them for many years now, I can attest there's nothing better for mashing an avocado in thanks to the plate-like bottom.
Hosting is made much easier with this nesting set, which are perfectly designed for group-sized salads.
If you're more into a classic bowl design, this set will go far in your kitchen for soup, cereal, ice cream and everything else you throw it it. They stack so neatly in my kitchen cupboard.
The sets are where the real value is with this Our Place sale and if you're in need of more plates, these ones are brilliant. Desserts or a slice of cake are perfect on the small ones.
Both generations of Our Place's tableware are currently on sale and as I've tried both, I can confidently say the quality is equal across the ranges.
The first pieces I owned have now mostly been discontinued, apart from the range's Side Bowls in Spice (which are now £30, down from £40). I've had them in my kitchen since 2022, which shows you just how long they last. All 12 of them have survived without a single chip.
The next tableware set I tried from Our Place was the brand's release of the colourway Sage in 2024.
This is where the brand starting to take stacking to the next level, which you can see in all of the sets that are currently on sale. All of the dinner plates in this collection can neatly stack on top of the dinner bowls, as well as on top of the brand's serveware salad bowls.
This was also where Our Place expanded into tableware of all sizes. Its mini range provides the perfect receptacles for sauce dipping, little dessert servings or for olives or various tapas at home.
