This home features a neutral palette of colours with an oak porch for a rustic look.

Downstairs the central hallway has doors leading off to the left and right with a bespoke oak staircase at the back which makes a wonderful statement up through the 3 floors in the centre of the house.

The oak staircase is from Rob Harwood Joinery.

This all-wood interior is broken up with large neutral sofas and splashes of dark furnishings. Neutral paint keeps the room light and airy, and a Christmas tree is the ultimate festive furnishing.

The table is from Furleys of Oakham, and the sofas are from Ulterior Design Upholstery.

Wooden worktops matched with a neutral floor conjure up the simple, understated style that is key to a traditional Shaker kitchen.

The range cooker is from Falcon.

The owners wanted to achieve something that felt timeless - neither traditional nor contemporary. They've achieved just that, as the dining room illustrates, with its modern but classic Christmas decorating scheme complete with solid oak furniture and statement chandelier.

The table, chairs and sideboard are all from House of Fraser.

The main bathroom is a vision of white, but far from minimal thanks to the use of warm wood furnishings and natural tiles. The limestone adds a wonderful texture to the space and gives it timeless style.

The look in the master bedroom is pure hotel chic with a suede headboard, matching bedside lighting and pared-back decor.

The owners built a sleek and stylish shelf for his-and-hers basins using iroko wood.

Soft blue walls with pink accessories give this girl's bedroom a classic, feminine look without being too girly.
