Property Three-bed house built on a vineyard, about an hour from Cape Town. It comes with swimming pool, decking and spacious kitchen-diner.

The modern concrete house, constructed from slabs poured on site, is surrounded by lush native trees. The extra wide loungers, overlooking the pool, were made by local tradesmen. The garden decking, made from balau wood, known to be very hardwearing, is perfect for summer alfresco dining.

Light floods into the kitchen-diner and living area through the large expanse of glass windows. The living area is defined by a cosy rug and a corner sofa. The ceilings and floors are made from pine trees felled outside the house.
The Beat light fittings, by Tom Dixon, are available at Nest. The Mini Corner Group sofa at Halo Living is like this.

Natural colours and textures reflect an African chic vibe.

The stone-effect bath may look high-end bespoke, but it was actually made by building around a freestanding bath with bricks and cement, then plastering it and adding a coat of textured paint. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the stunning views of the vineyard beyond.

Subtle touches of colour are added to the guest bedroom to warm up the concrete walls. Cosy bedlinen brings warmth to the scheme. With all bleached-out driftwood colours, the master bedroom is tranquil yet chic. The bed is made from wooden pallets, with cosy throws softening the scheme and adding a touch of luxury.

The bright and spacious hallway connects the main living area with the bedrooms, with the master bedroom at the end. The driftwood sculpture softens the sleek lines of the hallway.
