Ideal Home Truths

Where is your happy place?

I love being by the sea, especially abroad – I don’t like the cold! Walking on the beach and swimming in the sea is one of life’s pleasures.

What’s your home addiction?
Upcycling and making things, I like to buy an old piece of furniture and do it up and I am a bit obsessed with making quilts! And cushions. I recently embellished an IKEA cushion cover with some embroidered trim from an old dress. I hate waste.

What is your next home project?

A couple of things, I want to put grey cloud wallpaper on the ceiling in the bedroom and I want to paint the double doors that lead from the dining room to the office. I painted a dresser in Charlotte’s Locks by Farrow & Ball and I like it so much, I want to do the doors now.
