Take a tour around a duck-egg blue kitchen

The bespoke spray-painted cabinetry, in a carefully chosen shade of blue, was made by Holloways of Ludlow. The walls and ceiling are painted in Brilliant White by Dulux, in order to bounce light around the room.

A pull-out larder is positioned next to the capacious Zanussi fridge, keeping all the foodstuffs to hand and easy to access.

3/7 Range cooker

Deep, wide pan drawers flanking the stylish Britannia Living range cooker create a feeling of symmetry within the room. A stainless-steel splashback, also from Britannia Living, works perfectly with the mirrored glass panels either side of it.

4/7Chopping board

A solid beech chopping board was specially designed to fit the lower tier of the island unit and is ideal for preparing fruit and vegetables. Slim, stainless-steel bar handles complement the cabinetry perfectly. The granite worktops are from Touchstone.

5/7 Sink and tap

A smart Quooker tap provides instant filtered and boiling water at the undermounted one-and-a-quarter bowl Franke sink.

6/7 Island unit

This linear island divides the room and hides a wealth of features – including the sink and a fully integrated Bosch dishwasher – despite its slender proportions.
