I'd like to cover a sofa in fabric with a very wide stripe. Can you help me find one?The widest stripe we've seen is the strié velvet Curraghmore NCF3541 (below), which has four 33 cm wide stripes across the full width of the fabric. It comes in six colourways at but is expensive from Nina Campbell at Osborne & Little. If you prefer a cotton/linen mix, Portland Stripe J488F has stripes 17 cm wide and comes in seven colourways, from Jane Churchill at Colefax and Fowler. Or, with stripes of a similar width, there's Malmo 4588, in five colourways, from Manuel Canovas at Colefax and Fowler, (020) 8877 6400. Look also at Raya Picasso with its 16 cm wide stripes in three colourways, priced from Ybarra & Serret at Lewis & Wood. From Romo, there's Calvi 7239, a linen twill in nine colourways with an 11·25 cm wide stripe.
