In such a small space, it was a tall order to achieve the glamorous shower room look that the owners desired. To do so, they ripped out the bog-standard white suite and called in the experts to design and create a smart shower room with up-to-the-minute fittings.

Overall cost: £8,772

The high-tech shower is now the bathroom's pièce de résistance. The rainfall shower head, combined with digitally-controlled water jets, provides a luxurious experience.

The shower head is from Cifial (opens in new tab), and the digital interface and jets are from Kohler (opens in new tab).

Modern tap

The smooth, glossy curves of the black basin contrast beautifully with the harsh lines of the modern tap.

The basin and tap are from Design Republic (opens in new tab).

Mirrored cabinet

In an attempt to both minimise clutter and create the feeling of space, the owners went for a thin, wall-hung mirrored cabinet.

Find this cabinet at Schneider Bathroom Cabinets (opens in new tab).

Wall tiles

The mirrored strips were cut by a local glazier to create a room that wouldn’t look out of place in a top hotel. The bands of black running around the room lead the eye round creating a feeling of space.

Use our Find a Tradesman tool to lacate a glazier in your area.

Shower enclosure

A bespoke shower enclosure with a mosaic-tiled floor gave the owners the streamlined wet-room look they wanted. Soft and dark grey tiles create a sophisticated feel.

Visit Aquaplus Solutions (opens in new tab) for this shower screen, and Design Republic (opens in new tab) for the tiles.

Bathroom accessories

Glass accessories used to store bathroom essentials also create a decorative display in line with the modern look.

The counter top is from Silverstone. (opens in new tab)
