On our quest to find the hottest new names in the UK interiors industry, we discovered Leeds-based Anthony Hughes. Surface designer, trend forecaster and style guru - we think he's definitely one to watch.
Following a degree in Surface Design for Fashion and Interiors, Anthony found work with trends company Scarlet Opus. 'I blog and present trends visually for clients,' says Anthony.
When he's not tapping into the zeitgeist, Anthony is busy setting up his own design studio to create an innovative range of printed and textured surfaces for interiors. 'We're working on UV printing at the moment,' he reveals. 'Keep an eye on my website - anthony-hughes.co.uk (opens in new tab), as I'm hoping to launch my own range of wallcoverings, textiles and flooring soon. One day, I'd love to have my own boutique in Leeds.'
We set Anthony a challenge to create a bedroom influenced by the Pearl and Moonflower fragrance from the Sensual Infusions range, which offers seven times longer-lasting freshness (in storage vs. Lenor Pure Care). 'I love contemporary design, so it had to be striking patterns in 2013's hottest colour combo: charcoal and tangerine.'
See more of Anthony's designs at anthony-hughes.co.uk (opens in new tab) as well as in our Create a bold bedroom scheme with tribal prints and geometric patterns gallery.
