FAQs
How much is Currys delivery?
The cost of delivery depends on what you’re buying. For standard delivery (3 to 5 working days), anything under £40 costs £2.99. Over £40 and it’s free. If you wish to choose a specific weekday slot between noon and 5pm, it’ll cost you £9.99. For next day delivery, £4.99 will ensure your order is delivered the following day. Currys will send your order by Royal Mail, DPD or another delivery partner for larger appliances.
Does Currys offer click & collect?
Yes, you can collect your Currys order in-store, you just need to select the ‘Collect it’ option at the first level of checkout. You then need to input your postcode and it’ll offer up the nearest Currys stores in your area (of the 309 stores nationwide). Choose one and finish checking out. You’ll then receive confirmation once your order is ready for collection.
Is there a Currys student discount?
Sometimes students can get a discount at Currys but it's only at specific times of the year. The offers don't tend to be a sitewide discount, they're more focused on specific product ranges. If you're a student and you want to save at Currys, we recommend registering your student status on the Student Beans website so you can keep up to date when new Currys offers are live.
What is Currys price match promise?
It’s rare to get a price match from a big name retailer these days, but Currys aim to be the most competitively priced brand on the high street. The Currys Price Promise works like this - if you see an item that you bought available from another retailer for less than what you paid at Currys, the company will refund you the difference.
What is Currys Care & Repair?
It’s a fact of life that sometimes appliances and electronics can stop working. Currys offers a service called Care and Repair to help fix the situation if that does happen, all of which are completely free of charge.
You can get breakdown support or a 7-day fix promise (if it's not fixed within 7 days, you get a replacement). If you’re unfortunate enough to need to get an item repaired twice and it’s still not working as it should, you can ask Currys for a brand new one. If finally, it’s completely beyond repair, Currys will give you a gift card for the full cost.
This aftercare service isn’t completely free though - you need to buy it at the same time as buying your product or appliance. Prices vary depending on the item. For instance, insuring an air fryer with Care & Repair will set you back £1.50 a month (or £35 for 3 years/£50 for 5 years), while doing the same with a washing machine will cost £4.50 a month, £108 for 3 years or £135 for 5 years.

What to buy from Currys
As mentioned, Currys has a vast range of appliances big and small, TV and audio, computers and gaming kit, cameras, phones and smart home, as well as the less obvious bits and bobs for the home like toys, electric scooters and bikes, gardening must-haves like lawnmowers… even musical instruments! Or if you’re still on the fence about whether air fryers are worth investing in, the brands available at Currys are second to none and pretty much everything has real reviews against them so you can check out people’s experiences before you buy.
The bottom line is, you’ll be surprised just what and how much Currys has to offer, and you can save even more on the great value products with our Currys promo codes.
How do we source promo codes and deals?
We have an Offers team that sources codes and deals from affiliate networks and from researching the web. The codes are tested to see if they work and then added to the retailer pages, alongside sales, multi-buy deals, friend referral discounts and newsletter sign-up deals. The codes and offers are checked regularly to ensure they’re still live and working, and new deals are added multiple times a week, keeping the offer list fresh.
Alongside this, we have a Commercial team that works with the brands to secure exclusive discount codes. An exclusive code is an offer agreed upon by the brand that is the best in the market, it’s normally a limited-time-only offer so it’s worth snapping up when you see it.
We also have a Copywriting team who update the FAQs, Hints & Tips and Buyers Guides sections with additional information on how you can save money at each retailer, alongside answering other queries you may have.
What if my voucher code doesn’t work?
Although we have eyes on the pages checking the codes and offers are working, sometimes they expire early or the details change suddenly. If you do find a code that doesn’t work or an offer has expired, please feel free to get in contact and let us know at vouchers.idealhome@futurenet.com.
How do we make money?
When you click one of our offer links, a unique identifier is added that lets the retailer know that you’ve come from our Ideal Home discount code page. If you then buy something, we get a commission from the purchase. A commission is a small percentage of the money that you’ve spent on your item(s).

About Currys
Originally founded by Henry Curry in 1884, Currys is an amalgamation of several well-known British brands that have changed their trading names several times in the last 30 years or so. Founded initially as a bicycle-building business, Currys soon expanded its offering to include gramophones, radios and toys. The business carried on for exactly 100 years, until which time it merged with another brand called Dixons. The brand launched online in 2011. Next to join the “team” was Carphone Warehouse (by which time Currys was called Currys PC World). This resulted in another name change, this time to Dixons Carphone. By then, it was the UK’s biggest retailer of tech. Eventually, in 2021 the company simplified the brand name back to Currys. Today, Currys is one of the UK’s most popular sites for buying tech and appliances, with items ranging from food mixers to vacuum cleaners and even games consoles and video doorbells. It has 309 bricks and mortar stores in the UK.
