The Ideal Home Show at Christmas brings you everything you need to prepare your home for the festive season. This annual Christmas shopping event will give you ideas on everything; from decorations and hand crafted gifts, Christmas puddings and festive fizz, to furniture and New Year Home Improvements - the show has it all.

Highlights

A whole host of experts at the Christmas Theatre, can help you gain the skills you need to master the art of a truly homemade Christmas. The hourly sessions focus on making Christmas cards, decorations, wreaths, gift wrapping, presents, table settings and so much more.

At the Christmas Food & Drink Theatre you will learn how to perfect your canapés, spice up your sprouts, decorate your Christmas cake and cook the best turkey you've ever tasted - all from some of the nation's best chefs. Plus, there is also the chance to taste their creations for yourselves!

The Christmas Room Sets are the perfect place to get inspirational ideas for your Christmas decor, each designed to offer a different take on the ideal way to style your home for the festive season.

There is also a Christmas bandstand, VIP Lounge, Christmas Arcade, The Dukes Head Pub, Champagne Bar, Turkey Tasting Theatre and The Gregg Wallace Christmas Restaurant.

Across the 17 days of the show there is so much to see and do to keep you entertained as well as providing you with ideas and inspiration for your home.

Highlights

Visitors will be treated to insider knowledge and interior tips and tricks at the Ideal Super Theatre. There is something for everyone, with everything from gardening advice to renovation and planning tips, plus interior styling advice and some of the nation's best chefs.

The Ideal Food & Drink Theatre, brings the chefs' recipes to life. As well as witnessing the recipes being created live at the show and picking up top tips to take away, visitors also have the chance to taste the delights that the celebrity experts whip up.

Seek inspiration for your own exterior spaces than by exploring the beautiful show gardens, on display at the Ideal Home Show every year.

The main stunning feature of the Ideal Home Show is the fully built Show Homes that are ready to explore and take inspiration from. There is also VIP Lounge, Grand Hall Tea Rooms, Ideal Beauty Bar amongst many other features and areas to explore.

Public transport

London Overground

Kensington (Olympia) is on the London Overground network. It's one stop from Shepherd's Bush (Central line) or West Brompton (District line). The venue is next to the station.

District Line

There is only a District line service from Earls Court on weekends; and throughout the week for some major events. Please check before you travel.

When travelling from Monday to Friday, you should change at West Brompton for a 2 minute Overground train to Kensington (Olympia). Alternatively West Kensington is an 8 minute walk away, and High Street Kensington is a 4 minute bus ride or 12 minute walk away.

Central Line

Change at Shepherd's Bush for a 2 minute Overground train to Kensington (Olympia).

Piccadilly Line

Baron's Court is a 9 minute walk away from Olympia London.

Hammersmith & City Line

Hammersmith Station is a 5 minute bus ride or 15 minute walk away.

Circle Line

High Street Kensington is a 4 minute bus ride or 12 minute walk away. Hammersmith Station is an 5 minute bus ride or 15 minute walk away.

The following buses all stop within a very short walking distance of the venue: 9, 10, 27, 28, 49, 391, N9, N10, N27, N28.

Motorway

EventCity is conveniently located close to the M6, M62, M56 and M60. EventCity is easily accessible by car. If travelling from the M60 take Junction 9 for the A5081 and follow signs for Barton Dock Road. For satellite navigation use: M17 8AS.

Bus

X50 - Manchester City Centre's Express Service Intu, Trafford Centre's high frequency express bus link, leaving Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station Stand K every 15 minutes from early until late 7 days a week 363 days a year (via MediaCityUK Manchester and MUFC).

250 - Stagecoach Manchester Bus Service The Trafford Centre's high frequency bus link direct from Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station Stand K every 15 minutes from early until late 364 days a year (via MUFC and Manchester University).

Trafford Bus Station

This is approximately 10 minutes' walk from EventCity (see map) and serviced by bus routes from all over Greater Manchester. There are frequent buses providing a connection every 5 minutes (services 18, 247, 250 and X50) from the bus station to EventCity.

Train

Manchester Piccadilly - Take the bus service X50 or 250 from Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station descending at the EventCity bus stop.

Manchester Victoria - Take the bus service 100 (every 12 minutes) or Service 110 (every 20 minutes) descending at The Trafford Centre bus station.
