Beautiful bargain home buys from the supermarkets and high street
Time for an autumn refresh? We've scoured the high street and supermarkets for gorgeous new-season home buys that are as easy on the eye as they are on the wallet
All homeowners love a seasonal trend and the challenge of channelling the lastest looks without spending a fortune. Luckily the supermarkets and high street shops have come to the rescue once again with a wonderful selection of homewares that look a million dollars but cost considerably less!
We've picked out some of our favourites for the new season. Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone how cheap they actually are. They'll never know ;)
Linea Folk Bird Cushion and Fable Folk Rabbit Cushion, £16 each, House of Fraser
These gorgeous cushions put a luxe spin on a folksy theme with their intricate, stylised designs and would be a steal at twice the price. Use them to add instant opulence to your sofa or pile up on a bench with a snug sheepskin.
Low Wooden Stool, £69.99, Zara Home
Quality, handmade products are all the rage right now (check our our article on the Modern Maker trend), but handcrafting often comes at a price. This wooden stool gives you the look for less - we love the visible joins on top of the seat.
Sainsbury's Arabian Nights dinnerware, from £3.50, Sainsbury's
This hand-decorated dinner set hints at Middle Eastern splendor, but its pared-back, monochrome design would work in practically any scheme. What's more, black and white is a timeless colour combination, so this will never date.
Elliott Armchair in Grape Crushed Velvet, £275, George Home
Autumn 2016 is all about rich, berry hues - think crushed mulberries and you get the idea. This sumptuous armchair nails the trend in one. At £275, we think its an absolute bargain, and it comes with a matching cushion to boot.
Blue Baboon, Grey Ostrich and Dark Grey Raven Lamps, £90 each, Abigail Ahern/EDITION at Debenhams
You can always rely on Debenhams to come up trumps with their designer collaborations. They've smashed it again with the Abigail Ahern/EDITION range, including these rather splendid zoological table lamps - all under £100.
Conran Dinner Candle Holder, £25, Marks & Spencer
Here's another classy designer collaboration - this time between Marks & Spencer and Sir Terence Conran. We love the extravagant use of mixed materials, including marble (still very much in style) and brushed brass, tapping into the luxurious Golden Age trend.
Glossy Faux Fur Throw, from £30, Next
Add a plush finish to your bedroom scheme for next to nothing with one of these sumptuous throws - perfect for snuggling up in the colder months. They're available in five different colours, including on-trend Plum, Brown and Forest Green.
Round Table Mirror, £14.99, H&M
This smart little mirror will glam up a dressing table or hallway console table for a mere snip at £14.99. Plus it comes with a handy built-in trinket tray for keeping jewellery, keys or other bits and pieces.
