The kitchen makes a dramatic first impression with its ornate cabinetry and luxurious colour scheme.

Georgian-style kitchen
The maple units have been painted in Blossom by Dulux and finished with a matt varnish, while the detailing is in Antique Gold acrylic paint and Plasti-kote fast-drying enamel.

Four-oven Aga
A huge four-oven Aga takes centre stage in the kitchen and creates a striking focal point, contrasting dramatically with the granite worksurface and splashback.

Cornice detailing
On the cornicing, the gold paint has been applied with a rag for an antique feel, which means it can be touched up easily.

Crystal handles
Lead crystal door handles on the cabinet doors add a final note of opulence. The colour scheme was originally inspired by the tones in the Kashmari granite from Manchester Marble.

Cupboard detail
A cupboard to the side of the Aga has a solid walnut interior, as do all of the kitchen's bespoke cabinets and drawers. The cabinets are from Tom Howley Bespoke Furniture.

Tap
The elegant shape of the three-hole mixer tap from Perrin & Rowe complements the kitchen design perfectly.

Appliances
Neatly tucked away in the island unit, an oven and wine fridge sit happily side by side. The homeowner decided to install a conventional oven and hob, as well as the Aga to use in the summer.
