Retro dining area

Design classics fill this modern home, and the dining room is no exception. A white marble table and tulip chairs add retro style to the space. The background is kept neutral with pale walls and wooden floors so that statement pieces grab all the attention.

Bold splashback kitchen

The owners commissioned extra-tall kitchen units to accentuate the high ceilings in their home. By opting for sleek white units, a bold colour was itching to stand out, so they choose an orange glass splashback. The copper pendant lights add a touch of show-stopping glamour.

Get the look: The kitchen units and island are by Leicht from Connaught Kitchens. The hob is by Siemens, and the tap is by Franke. Buy Tom Dixon pendant shades from The Conran Shop. The bar stools are from Purves & Purves.

Grand fireplace

The fireplace has been rubbed down for a distressed result. Gold paint was then mixed in to create a classic-style gold-leaf effect which provides interesting contrast with the modern pieces in the rest of the flat. A large metallic mirror was chosen to accentuate the high ceilings.

Get the look: The mirror is from The Old Cinema. The skull candle is from Start. The Ribbon lamp and candlesticks are from Habitat.

Eclectic living room

The owners went for a luxurious leather corner sofa that could divide the living room. The dark design is softened with a shaggy rug, while a bright mix of cushions and an eye-catching piece of wall art add welcome splashes of colour.

Get the look: The sofa is by Natuzzi. The Shakti lamp by Kundalini is from One Deko. Find similar cushions and rugs at The Conran Shop. The Span glass tables are from Heal's. Walls throughout are painted in Vanilla Mist by Dulux.

Ensuite shower room

The owners intend to add gold tiles to the shower room to hint at the metallic-edged Venetian doors that separate it from the bedroom, but the neutral wall and floor tiles are ideal for a compact scheme. Bright towels add colour and definition to the space.

Get the look: The Arc basin from Victoria Plumb is like this compact style. These towels are by Missoni HomeStone & Ceramic Warehouse sells large neutral floor and wall tiles.

Luxurious bedroom storage

The high, vaulted ceiling lends an airy atmosphere in the master bedroom. The Venetian glass doors, forming a wardrobe and entrance to the shower room, add a decadent note. Lighting shines through to create a cosy and opulent feel.

Striking master bedroom

Bold wallpaper adds femininity with an edge to the master bedroom. Shimmering bedlinen adds a romantic touch to the scheme, while a super-soft rug adds warmth to the hardwood floors. The rest of the space is filled with quirky touches, like the bright cushions, to add personality to the bedroom.

Get the look: The wallpaper is by Colefax & Fowler. The chest of drawers, bedside table and the bedspread came from Habitat. The pink cushions and the Cindy lamp by Kartell are from The Conran Shop.
