Pale sycamore furniture has been tempered with the richer tones of American Black walnut to form an elegant contrasting design in this kitchen by Underwood. Central to the scheme is a four-tiered, boomerang-shaped island with ample room so guests can linger with a cocktail.

One side of the room is dedicated to cold storage and includes a professional-style fridge freezer and wine coolers, all by Sub-Zero.
3/10 Sink and waste disposal
A round hole has been precision-cut into the Orissa Blue granite worktop to accommodate a small Kohler prep sink. The matching adjacent circle lifts to reveal a chute that vegetable peelings can be swept into.
4/10 Built-in pantry
A purpose-built walnut pantry is filled with a combination of shelving and pull-out storage drawers for dry foods and produce, such as flour, pasta, potatoes and onions. The neutral Delta Dark Grey floor tiles came from Eurotiles.
5/10 Hobs
Positioned in the island, two ceramic domino hobs and one gas hob by Wolf, allow for cooking flexibility. A Miele double oven and Wolf warming drawer are positioned in the bank behind. Small walnut drawers store herbs and spices.
6/10 Bespoke drawers
A sycamore dividing system has been incorporated in a drawer so that pan lids are always easy to find.
7/10 Tea leaf drawers
A smart walnut cupboard opens to reveal a tea leaf store with drawers beautifully inscribed for family members favourite breakfast brews.

A perfect example of the kitchens zoning, this Miele coffee machine has trays above it and a drawer below that pulls out to form a smart shelf for cups.
