Fed up with boring gift-wrap ideas? Ideal Home's Style Editor shows us how to make charming decorative tape bunting to pretty up your gifts.
Step 1. Cut a length of baker’s twine that is long enough to wrap around your gift multiple times. Tear off a small piece of decorative washi tape (approx 4 cm) and fold in half between the twine sticking the two sticky sides together.
Step 2. Repeat several times at regular intervals with alternative decorative tapes perhaps in different colours or patterns.
Step 3: Cut each piece of tape from the corners at an angle, cutting out small triangles to create a flag effect.
Step 4: Once complete, attach one end of the string of bunting flags to your gift using a piece of the same tape and wrap the remaining around several times securing the other end in the same way.
