Abigail Ahern’s new Larder range of foodstuffs offers a taste of rural France

Livingetc goes weak at the knees with the arrival of Nicolas Vahé's speciality foods in the UK

Not that we needed another excuse to visit one of our favourite homeware outlets, but the recent opening of The Larder at Abigail Ahern has got Livingetc chomping at the bit.

As well its established collection of furniture, lighting, accessories and artwork, the north London store now offers a select range of gourmet foodstuffs from Michelin-starred French chef Nicolas Vahé.

Already available across mainland Europe – as well as more exotic locations such as Korea and Lebanon, Vahé’s appetisers, chutneys, confits, herb essences, fondues, oils, pestos and pasta – plus much, much more – are now on sale in the UK.

Priced at £5 per jar for the Herb essences, £9 each for a Chocolate fondue, £8 for a bottle of Orange and Cinnamon Cocoa mix and £4.75 for 500g of Pasta with Truffle, the goods on offer are eminently affordable as well as being wonderfully flavoursome.

And just to help you prepare that perfect dinner party, those clever people at Abigail Ahern have also enlisted Nicolas to supply a host of his favourite recipes too, such as this braized pork shanks with root vegetables – an ideal way to warm you up as the autumn chill sets in.

A few nibbles to pick up with your homeware shopping this Christmas? We should coco…
